What Can We Create on Mars? Humans will soon be able to voyage to the Red Planet. That possibility opens up a truly grand question: What can we create on Mars?
In this talk, Robert will discuss the possible forms that future human civilization of Mars may take, including its technological and economic basis, its architecture, and its social and political forms. Zubrin believes that there will be not one, but many “noble experiments” conducted on Mars, with people with very diverse views on what the best form of human society may take place on the Red Planet. Many will fail…but those that succeed will not merely set the pattern for Mars, but show a better way forward for all of humanity.
Zubrin has written a recently-published book on this subject entitled The New World on Mars: What We Can Create on the Red Planet. Copies will be available at the Hall for purchase and for personal signing.
