Bob is the principal investigator for a NASA experiment that flew to the Moon in 2025. He and his team’s Lunar Magnetotelluric Sounder investigation studied the Moon’s interior by measuring electric and magnetic fields. It flew on Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission lander that delivered ten NASA science and technology instruments to the Moon last year. Bob has also worked on many other NASA missions including Venus and Mars projects. Bob is an geophysicist and planetary scientist at Southwest Research Institute in Boulder.
